New Ride and a Large Shipment

We bought a car!!  Someone on post was selling their 2001 Nissan Xterra, and we were lucky enough to be the first people who contacted them about buying it.  (Most cars sell REALLY fast over here, because there are always people arriving who need a car.)  Anyway, the car is black, has leather seats, automatic windows and locks, a sunroof, alloy wheels, and I really like it. :o)

Because it is safer than John’s BMW, it will be our primary car.  I will drive it to work when I get a job, but it will also be the car we take on trips and use on the weekends and stuff.

Here are a couple pictures:

Also, we got most of our Pottery Barn order yesterday, which contained our registry completion.  We used the cash and gift cards we got at the wedding to do this, but we had no idea how much we were actually getting until it showed up.  Eighteen boxes…no joke.  Once unpacked, this is what it looked like (boxes were already in the recycling):

I’m very excited about it all.  The photo doesn’t include one of our European pillow inserts or our duvet cover.  We are overwhelmed with all this stuff!  Oh, and the photo also includes our wedding gift from Laura, the wine decanter (it looks kinda like a genie bottle, and I love it).
