Our puppy was sleepy when we visited, but he was a trooper and let us take a picture:
He still has a lot of his pudgy puppy shape, and his face hasn’t elongated like his brothers & sisters, but we love him anyway!
All his brothers & sisters. They’re all so sweet & have great temperaments.
It’s also time for “Hi/Lo Thursday” on the Riggs Family Blog. Check out their blog to read everyone else’s “Hi/Lo” posts and get your link on their site.
Our Highs:
- Having our first visitors: my parents!
- Getting to visit our puppy
- Picking out a name for our puppy
- Finding out we get to pick our puppy up a day early!!! (Sat. Mar 21st) We’ll let you know his name then
- Being able to communicate auf Deutsch (in German) with the breeder. We understood a lot more than we realized, which amazed us. We even negotiated to come a day early (Saturday).
- Going to Chili’s and getting American food – yum!
- Getting great sleep every night this week. I’ve been so exhausted each night. Entertaining is tiring!
Our Lows:
- Finding out I can’t take the International Economics – Trade class as part of my Master’s degree. I’ve been wanting to take it for over a year, but they changed the course dates, and I’ll probably be in the States then for Katy’s wedding. On the upside, I’m taking an online course, so at least it will perhaps be easier???
- Our Slingbox has been turned off (accidentally) back in the States, and it will be 3 days until we can have someone go over there and turn it back on. In the meantime, please no Biggest Loser or Lost spoilers. Thanks.
- Extra hard rain…normally I love hard rain, but not when we’re trying to show people around the city. The hail yesterday was crazy!
I hope you all are having a great week and spring is starting to show up in your area. (I know, it’s not applicable to Texans, but for those of us that live in cold areas, spring is important!)

Awwww, there’s pretty much nothing sweeter than sleepy puppy face! Soak it up now because when that puppy is running laps around your apartment and chewing everything in sight, you’ll be praying for him to get tired and take a nap. The puppy phase is crazy fun and frustrating, but man, is it worth it when they start to get older and mellow and just really wonderful. Have fun w/ your new addition!
Hah, yeah, you’re right…I’m sure he WILL runs laps around our place. I can’t wait to bring him home, but I know there will be frustrating days. Regardless, I am so excited to have him as a companion and to experience the rewarding love of a pet!
yes and yes about the puppy. will run tons of laps and is totally worth it later. Hey just fyi, on the biggest loser someone loses weight! lololololol love you miss you
