We’re still here, I promise! I’m sorry it’s been just over a week since our last update. I have been trying to make a daily quota for ChaCha, because we’re trying to save for some stuff for our apartment and every little bit helps. As a result, I haven’t had time to blog or respond to emails for awhile. I’ll get back to everyone ASAP. Seriously.
Just two quick things for now – one, Michael Ann came to visit us form Mainz today. We didn’t know her beforehand, but my old roommate Laura put us in touch. Michael Ann used to go to the Austin Stone, but she’s now doing mission work in a town about an hour away from us. We showed her around Heidelberg and Scwetzingen today. We went to the Heidelberg Schloß, the Hauptstraße, the PHV commissary (woohoo! hehe) and the Schwetzingen Kaffeehaus for dinner. It was a great day.
Second, we finally got decent curtains for our bedroom! You all have no idea how exciting this is for us. We had an interim thing up to block out light that was ugly and bothered us both a lot. Now that we have the curtains, it makes such a difference in the room and makes it feel much more home-y for us.
Oh, and last weekend, we took a drive and photographed a lot of the fall foliage, so I’ll get a post together with that stuff soon. The leaves are falling off the trees much faster than last year, which is crazy. The color change happened so fast and then it was basically gone. Today it finally cooled down and stayed cool. Lately it’s been 40-65 or so each day, and today it was 34-58. Nice.
