Well, I haven’t participated in Chelsea’s Ten on Tuesday in awhile, so I figured this week as as good as any to jump back in.
1. Where did you go to college?
For my Bachelor’s, I went to the University of Texas at Austin – Hook’em! For my Master’s, I went to the enemy…the University of Oklahoma. I will never be a Sooner, even though I have a diploma declaring me as such.
2. What did you study?
My Bachelor’s degree was in photojournalism, but I also studied business and Norwegian. I actually took a total of 16 hours of Norwegian in my last year in school. My Master’s degree is in International Relations, which is a mixture of political science, history, law, business and communication.
3. Was college really all that it was cracked up to be?
I’m not sure what it was really “cracked up to be.” I enjoyed my time there, but I don’t want to go back. I learned a lot of lessons that have shaped me into the person I am today, and for that, I’m thankful.
4. How far were you from home?
About 70 miles or one hour fear-filled drive down I-35 (have you seen how terribly people drive?!).
5. Did you have the same roommate all four years?
Haha no. I met my roommate freshman year while waiting in line to be assigned a roommate for orientation. We got along and decided to room together freshman year. Sophomore year, I didn’t end up securing a roommate, so I living in an off-campus apartment. The same thing goes for junior and senior year. The first two years after I graduated, however, were spent with 3 great roommates in a 4-bedroom apartment.
6. Where did you order food from at 2am?
I rarely did this, but if I did eat this late, I would get Kerbey Lane, Taco Cabana or if Tiff’s Treats was open, I might order some cookies (but I think I only did that once).
7. Did you date in college or were you tied down?
I dated. I had a couple relationships last about 3-6 months, but nothing more serious than that.
8. Funniest drunk college moment?
I don’t have one.
9. Did you make it to class on time?
It depends on what year and what class. Norwegian? Yes, always. Management? No, never.
10. What was your favorite class in college?
Photojournalism, Norwegian, and French…I couldn’t pick just one!
You will never be a Sooner. Never.
That’s so funny that you aren’t a Sooner. My husband went to Georgia Tech and I’m applying to grad school at UGA. He said, “the only thing in our house with that stupid ‘G’ on it will be your diploma… under the bed.”
Tiff’s Treats?! I went to UT and it sounds tasty… how have I never heard of it?! And I love me some Kerbey Lane!
