Elijah John was born March 31 at 11:37 PM Central European Time. He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 21 inches long. His head was 14.96 inches. He has kept his mommy and daddy very busy and a wee bit sleep deprived, but we are so in love. He is absolutely perfect!

He had his two-week check up yesterday (I cannot believe he’s already 15 days old!) and has already regained his birth weight plus 11 ounces. He is definitely eating well! I am breastfeeding, and I’m really glad that part of motherhood has not been a huge hurdle for us. I know many women struggle with it. So far so good…just a little sore at times!
I am working on writing his birth story and will post it in a multi-part entry next week. Thanks for sticking with us even when we’ve been so busy that we haven’t had time to post. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I’ve said it before, but congratulations! He really is gorgeous.
He’s also the same length that Mikey was when he was born!
