Looking Both Ways

As 2010 comes to a close, I marvel at how much has happened in the past 12 months and how much is to come in 2011. I’ll keep this short. In fact, I think a list form is best, but before I go ahead with that, I have an announcement to make:

I am now in my THIRD trimester! Whoa…where did the past 28 weeks go? I promise to post some more belly pictures soon. Very soon.

Now, back to reviewing the past year. In 2010, I/we:

• Traveled
  • To DC on business
  • Texas twice
  • Switzerland twice
  • France (Burgundy!)
• Hosted visitors
  • Friends
    • Morgan & her sister Audrey
    • Jacoline and Jeroen from the Netherlands
  • Family
    • John’s dad, Leigh Ann, Victoria, Sarah and Andrew
    • John’s mom and Marcus
• Got pregnant!
• John changed jobs

In addition to all those newsworthy events, we also worked a lot, enjoyed each other’s company, played with Béni a whole heck of a lot and planned and planned and planned for Monkey’s arrival.

As we look forward to what’s to come in 2011, we know that we will:

• Have a baby
• Move internationally and finally live in a house, even if we don’t own it
• Change jobs
• John will get out of the Army and go back to school
• Sarah will start a business
• Attend a family reunion

Wow. That’s a lot! And I’m really thankful for this past year and am looking forward to all that is to come in 2011. Happy New Year, everyone!
