I don’t have anything one particular thing to say that could constitute an entire post, but my thoughts today are much longer than “quick takes,” so now, you just get a collection of mini-posts.
Acclimatization or lack thereof is a funny thing. We have people from our office stateside working here today. They think it’s cold. In fact, they proclaimed that the rain might sleet or snow. I walked outside to check it out, because the prospect of some early ice was exciting to me. As I made my way outdoors in a short sleeved shirt, I knew it wasn’t nearly cold enough for sleet, let alone snow. I just checked the temperature. It’s 46. Hah. Snow flurries are forecast around Thanksgiving, but the forecasts have been saying the weather is going to be cooler than it is, so we’ll see. I’m all for slightly warmer weather on the day(s) we head to the Christmas market(s) though!
Who knew maternity pants would make it so easy to go to the bathroom?! I love it. Granted, I make about 27 trips to the bathroom every day, so zipping, buttoning, belting, etc. would get rather old anyway.
I do love maternity pants, but I think I only like those of the full panel variety. Is it just me or do the demi panel pants just roll down constantly? I’m always straightening out the elastic to keep it from digging into me. Blech. Too bad I have 1 pair of full panel pants and 3 demi panel pairs. That means that I spend roughly 6 out of 7 days in the week in uncomfortable pantalones.
I don’t think I like the hormone relaxin very much. For the past two months, I have been in pain where my right leg meets my body. I get round ligament pain too, but the pain at the top of my leg/pelvis is horrid. On really bad days, John has to help me in and out of bed and to get dressed. I limp to and from work, but I think I can disguise it as a pregnant waddle. Who knew the waddling began so early? John noticed it at 18 weeks when we were in the Frankfurt airport on our way home.
We actually just had our official first freeze a couple of nights ago! I love this time of year- what part of the country were they from? If it was Texas, then, I’d cut em some slack- we don’t really know what to do with cold weather! haha But I’m sure you would understand that.
Yeah…they were from the DC area though! They should know cold. They had that big blizzard last year, so I can’t cut them any slack 🙂

You are so right about the demi panel pants. They do roll and it’s very annoying. The full panel pants are too big for me right now though as I don’t really have much of a belly to hold them up, so I’m stuck with the rolling elastic. Boo! They are crazy easy when I have to go to the bathroom though. Huzzah!
Sorry about the ligament pain. I had it with Indy, but (cross your fingers) haven’t had it this time (yet).
And I look forward to the colder weather. Indy is chomping at the bits for snow!
It was great to see you yesterday. You’re a very cute pregnant.
We’ve got full on cold weather here (it’s -17C at the moment), so I always laugh when people start complaining when it starts to drop below 50. I’ll glad take their “cold” weather over mine, anytime!
