Good Monday morning! As usual, it’s “Not Me!” Monday here on our blog, which is a chance for everyone to be brutally honest about what they have not been doing this week. You can also head over to My Charming Kids to see what MckMama and others have not been up to this week!
After watching the shuttle launch live on the web through NASA TV last week, I was think a great deal about outer space. I absolutely love astronomy and took 2 classes in astronomy during my undergrad – one was an intro course and the other was on galaxies, quasars and the universe. Though my affinity for space might make me a bit of a nerd, I was not geeky enough to tell John “You know what I’m really upset about?…Space debris.” Nope, not me!
John had to wake up incredibly early for work twice this week, and on Tuesday morning at 5:40 AM, while we were driving to his office, he did not randomly bust out singing Here Comes Santa Claus. Mind you, it’s May. My husband certainly did not sing Christmas carols in May.
Also, I am not so much of a motormouth that my dear sweet husband had to ask me to be quiet for 10 minutes on our drive up to the Netherlands this weekend. (Oops…apparently, I do [not] have the talent for talking for hours on end about completely random things.)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I have quite a bit to post about already this week, so stay tuned for stories about our trip this weekend as well as some big news!
– Sarah
Stephen is taking piano lessons. He started in December and learned to play Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. He’s still palying it. And then singing it because it gets stuck in his head. His piano teacher is a friend of ours. I think he did this to annoy me! 🙂
Looking forward to hearing about your trip!
Hah!
John and I get songs stuck in each other’s heads all the time. 🙂
Sarah–I’m with ya on the space debris! It’s kind of a sign of the times and how disposable everything is.
Marriage–where asking the person you love most in life to stop talking happens.
Glad you understand my space-related nerdiness, Jim.
And I totally laughed out loud about the marriage comment. It’s so true.
Oooooo, big news?!?
Yup! Hopefully I’ll have time to post about it this morning 🙂
you? a motor mouth?? nah, i probably make you look like a wallflower in comparison!
my mom used to tell me ALL THE TIME:
“take a breath”
ahhh, moms. so encouraging.
can’t wait to see pix from the nederlands!
and kudos on the JOB!!! yay for security and paying off loans!!
Thanks! Yeah, it’s a big relief!
I believe that purejoy may have broken Sarah’s “big news” a little early. New job, Sarah?
Yeah, it’s on my newest post, which I had up before she commented 🙂
