Crate training went better last night with Bèni. I went to all our neighbors ahead of time and apologized for the barking, whimpering and howling that was sure to take place a good portion of the night. They were all very nice and understanding. I hope they still feel that way this morning!

He made noise for about the first hour before quieting down for 15 minutes. He got loud again but I fell asleep. I set my alarm to wake me up every 2-2.5 hours to take him out to go to the bathroom. It definitely wasn’t the best sleep for me last night, but it was better than the night before! Each time I brought Bèni back inside, he barked and cried less than the previous time. The last time (around 5:45 AM), he only made noise for 5-10 minutes tops. Yay! Hopefully tonight will be even better.

He’s going to have a rough go at it this evening, though. I have to feed him dinner at 4:30 so I can take him out at 5:30, right before crating him until 9:30 or 10 PM when I get back from my first night of classes (which I’m dreading).

I just got to see the roster for my class – a history seminar over the Russian, Chinese, Cuban and Mexican revolutions – and there are only 8 people in my class including myself. Yuck. I really don’t like small seminars, especially when I really didn’t do the reading. What can I say? The prof assigned 7 very boring books over topics in which I have no background. One of the books was about 700 pages to…more yuck.

Again, thank you all for participating in our giveaway. And if you have any questions about the Soda-Club, feel free to ask!
