This morning around 9am I got an offer I couldn’t refuse… the phone rang and a lady on the other end called to offer us an upgrade in our internet service… for free. Sarah and I had been hoping to upgrade but didn’t really want to pay extra. Well it just so happens that Deutsche Telekom (DT) had ended their contract with our internet provider. Our provider had noticed a huge increase in problems reported by customers using DT’s DSL service. So, our internet provider decided to stick it to DT by offering to switch all of their exisiting customers to cable modem. For us this meant a HUGE increase in speed. I’ll let the pictures do the talking… here are our before and after speed test results:

Yeah, for some reason the speed test thinks we’re in the UK. Go figure.
